Sound stories beyond the product.
Some of the most interesting stories around Bose weren’t about headphones or speakers. They were about the role sound plays in how we live, work, perform and feel.
Bose Stories created an editorial platform for exploring those ideas through original reporting, interviews, photography, film and interactive storytelling.
It gave the brand permission to go deeper, creating useful, interesting content people could choose to spend time with.
What happens when we don’t sleep?
Sleep Deprivation explored the science behind something nearly everyone experiences but rarely understands: what happens to our minds and bodies when we don’t get enough sleep.
The story looked beyond product to the broader human problem, using editorial storytelling to make the science accessible, relevant and worth spending time with.
But the idea didn’t stop with the article.
We promoted the story when our audience was most likely to be experiencing the subject firsthand: between midnight and 4 a.m.
The timing turned media into part of the idea. Rather than simply placing content in front of people, we met them in the moment the story was about.
We immediately saw an increase in unique visitors to Bose.com and a spike in sales after the story was published.
Designed to go deeper. Built to keep going.
User research shaped both the stories we told and where we told them, connecting each idea with the audiences and channels that made the most sense.
